About Casey

Casey FitzGerald is the Principal Designer and Owner of Kathleen Casey Design.  Born in Toronto, Casey discovered her love of interior design in her early teens and she dreamt of becoming a carpenter one day. While her love of woodworking remained, she ended up going a different route after university.

After building a successful career as a product manager in the tech industry for ten years, Casey decided to leave the tech world, go back to school and pursue a career in first love- design.

Casey launched her design business in 2017 as part of her long-running DIY & design blog, House by the Bay. In 2021 she separated her blog and design businesses and Kathleen Casey Design Inc. was born.
