Our proven process is crafted to help you envision the finished design so you know early on that you’re going to absolutely love the end result! We start by gaining a deep understanding of your needs and the challenges within your Whitby home and then use our design knowledge and expertise to give you personalized, curated designs that translate those needs and challenges into liveable, beautiful solutions.
Phase I
Design Direction
The design process begins with clarity and alignment. Phase One centers on understanding the space, your priorities, and the decisions that will shape the outcome. In this phase we focus on gathering inspiration, refining layout, and developing the creative direction. We present initial concepts so you can see the potential of your space and explore possibilities before moving into detailed design work. From there, we prepare a tailored proposal outlining the next phase and how we’ll move forward.
Phase II
Design Development
Now that your vision has a foundation, we begin shaping how the space will function and evolve. Concepts take form as we refine room layouts, furniture placement, lighting, finishes, cabinetry and fixtures. Each decision creates a unified environment that responds to how you live, both today and as your needs change. Mood boards and detailed drawings illustrate how the design works in the present, and how it can adapt over time – from living areas that open for seasonal gatherings, to kitchens that expand for entertaining, nurseries that transition into teen rooms, and walls reinforced for accessibility upgrades. By the end of this phase, the design is cohesive, functional, and ready to grow with your lifestyle.
Phase III
Design Implementation
Once the design is finalized, we manage all of the details to ensure your home reflects the vision we developed together. Custom drawings are completed, materials and furnishings are ordered, and deliveries are scheduled and coordinated. We assemble the project team, attend site visits, and guide design decisions in real time, keeping the project aligned with the envisioned outcome. As furnishings and decor are installed, they are positioned and styled to create a cohesive home, ready for the reveal.
I was at a complete loss of where to start with our renovation project, but Casey really understood our needs and our spaces came out great. She worked closely with our contractors to keep them on-point and to come up with creative ways to maintain our design vision when contracting problems came up. Casey is an interior designer in Pickering who is a relentless researcher of ideas, has advanced knowledge of design, and thinks outside the box.
Meet the Designer
Casey creates interiors that anticipate life’s evolving needs, combining refined aesthetics with practical solutions and a deeply personal approach. Born in Toronto, she discovered her love of design as a teen, dreaming of one day becoming a carpenter.
After finding herself in a decade-long career in tech designing user-centered experiences, along with a background in hospitality, she brings meticulous attention to detail, seamless project management and a client-focused perspective to every project.
Today she leads her studio in Pickering, Ontario, working with homeowners throughout Whitby and the Durham Region to design homes that blend beauty, intentionality and adaptability. A Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPP), Casey ensures every space is elegant and versatile, capable of evolving with each stage of life.
